HOW TO: Schedule an automatic backup of your ESC database using Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 Express
Overview: The Schedule Automatic Backup utility in ESC relies upon the installation of Microsoft's SQL Server Agent.  This causes a problem for customers using MS SQL Server 2005/2008 Express, however, because that service is not installed with the Express edition.  This article will show you how to work around this issue to automate your ESC backups.

Overview: This article will show you how to configure exceptions in the Windows Firewall for SQL Server.  This is necessary in order for ESC Clients to connect to the server if you are running the Windows Firewall on your server computer.

Overview: This article will allow you to see which versions of Peachtree, ESC and the Peachtree Server are compatible with each other.
ISSUE: Labor Billing Codes Do Not Affect Labor Costs on Sales Invoices
Description of Issue: After upgrading to ESC Version 11, a user may notice that if a labor billing code with an assigned base cost and cost debit account has been added to an invoice, that cost will not be applied or display as labor cost on the sales invoicing screen. Additionally, these particular labor costs will not be included in any of the sales reports as well.
ISSUE: ESC Connection Server Settings Are Not Optimal Message
Description of Issue: When integrated with SageQuest the map in ESC will not immediately display the coordinates of the trucks as quickly as the online map in Sagequest.
ISSUE: Unable to Add a New Location for a Customer
Description of Issue: Typically after upgrading ESC, a user may find that when they attempt to add a new location to an existing customer, the following error is returned: "Could not save customer: Error saving Customer Record Locations. Error: Location number '00000' is invalid"
ISSUE: The From Email address is Not Updating When Sending Invoices
Description of Issue: On the Sales Invoicing screen, if a user is going to email out an invoice to a customer, they can click on the "From" link and change the senders email address in the Set Name and Email Address screen. However, after the invoice has been sent out, the email still contains the original from email that was assigned in the Company-->System Setup-->Company Information tab.
ERROR: Error When Saving an ESC Employee with Peachtree Integration
Description of Issue: In ESC Version 11 with Peachtree Integration enabled, a user may encounter the following or similiar type error when attempting to save a change in the Enter Technician screen: "Error posting employee to PT: an error occurred while importing. This happened for Field Name: EmpEE Fld4-Calc Name" Clicking OK to the error clears the technician's record and the entry or changes are retained.  
ISSUE: User is Unable to Log into the ESC Website
Description of Issue: A user is unable to log into the dESCO secure portal to get necessary ESC program updates, view video tutorials, access newsletter articles and browse through our knowledge base.
ISSUE: Just-In-Time Debugging Windows Appears When Starting ESC
Issue: When loading ESC, a user may get the following error: "Just-In-Time Debugging" "Do you want to Debug Using the selected debugger?" Selecting the NO option will close the debugging screen and ESC will work without any other problems. Selecting the YES option will open the debugging utility but if that is closed, ESC will again work without issue. The issue is noted to occur on some computers but not others.
